For those of you who may not know what we do, The Outpost is a social media lab in the College of Media & Communication, and our members monitor social media using a software called Hootsuite.

Here are some preliminary results from this morning:
These graphs show that a majority of the tweets from this morning were predominantly positive, with “anger/loathing” being the second most common sentiment across the board. The sentiments stayed relatively the same throughout the afternoon; however, there seemed to be a little more “anger/loathing” than there was in the morning.
