Crime reports released by the Texas Tech Police Department for April 26-28, 2013.
April 26
- A Texas Tech Officer investigated a traffic accident, without injuries, which occurred in the 3100 block of Drive of Champions.
- A Texas Tech Officer investigated a traffic accident, without injuries, and duty upon striking an unattended vehicle, which occurred in the R19 parking lot of Stangel Residence Hall.
- A Texas Tech Officer investigated theft, of an unsecured “I Pad” from the 3B214 Conference Room at the Texas Tech Health Science Center.
- A Texas Tech Officer arrested a student for public intoxication and released pending the filing of charges for assault on the east side of Bledsoe Residence Hall. The student struck a Facility Coordinator in the arm causing pain. The student was then transported back to the Lubbock County Jail.
- A Texas Tech Officer arrested a student for possession of a fictitious driver license in Weymouth Residence Hall. The student was transported to the Lubbock County Jail. The same student was also involved in a physical fight with another student. Both students were released pending the filing of charges for disorderly conduct (fighting in public).
April 27
- A Texas Tech Officer arrested a non-student for criminal trespass, which occurred at the University Medical Center. The non-student refused to leave the area after officer’s told him to leave. The non-student was transported to the Lubbock County Jail.
- A Texas Tech Officer arrested a student for driving while intoxicated and a Lubbock County citation for possession of a fictitious driver license and possession of alcohol by minor, following a traffic stop at the 1800 block of Boston Avenue. A student passenger was also arrested after a Lubbock County citation was issued for consumption of alcohol by a minor and issued a Lubbock County citation for possession of alcohol beverage in a motor vehicle which she signed. The students were transported to the Lubbock County Jail. The vehicle was impounded by Lubbock Wrecker Service.
- A Texas Tech Officer documented a medical, which occurred in Murray Residence Hall. A non-student began to feel ill after consuming an unknown amount of an alcoholic beverage. The student was transported to the University Medical Center Emergency Room by Emergency Medical Services.
- A Texas Tech Officer investigated criminal mischief at Weymouth Residence Hall. Several ceiling tiles, exit signs, and door panels were damaged throughout the residence hall.
April 28
- A Texas Tech Officer arrested a student for possession of marijuana, following a traffic stop in 1700 block of Flint Avenue. A passenger student was as arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. The students were transported to the Lubbock County Jail. The vehicle was impounded by Lubbock Wrecker Service.
