Crime reports released by the Texas Tech Police Department for April 19-21, 2013.
April 19
- A Texas Tech Officer investigated theft of Adderall pills and a Olympus camera which occurred at Clement Residence Hall.
- A Texas Tech Officer arrested a non-student for outstanding Lubbock County Sheriff Department warrants following a traffic stop in the 2500 block of 19th Street. The non-student was transported to the Lubbock County Jail. The vehicle was released to a friend.
- A Texas Tech Officer investigated an assault, which occurred near the indoor Soccer Field at the Student Recreation Center. A male punched a student in the face.
- A Texas Tech Officer investigated criminal mischief, which occurred at the Wiggins Complex. A hand rail was damaged.
April 20
- A Texas Tech Officer investigated criminal mischief, which occurred in the Z4R parking lot. The driver side brake light of a vehicle was damaged.
- A Texas Tech Officer arrested a student for public intoxication, which occurred in the south side of Jones AT&T Stadium. The student was transported to the Lubbock County Jail.
- A Texas Tech Officer investigated an accident, without injuries, which occurred in the 3400 block 19th street.
- A Texas Tech Officer investigated theft from an unsecured wallet, which occurred near the English Philosophy Building.
- A Texas Tech Officer documented a medical, which occurred at the Jones AT&T East Stadium Building. Emergency Medical Services personnel transported a student to the Covenant Hospital Emergency Room for treatment for alcohol poisoning.
- A Texas Tech Officer arrested a non-student for driving while intoxicated, following a traffic stop at the intersection of 4th Street and Quaker Avenue. The non-student was transported to the Lubbock County Jail. The vehicle was impounded by Lubbock Wrecker Service.
- A Texas Tech Officer detained two students following a traffic stop in the Z4M parking lot. One student was issued a Lubbock County citation for possession of alcohol by a minor and the other student was issued a Lubbock County citation for possession of open container in a motor vehicle. After the citations were issued, both students were released.
April 21
- A Texas Tech Officer investigated theft, which occurred in the Z 6A parking lot. Two lug nuts were taken from a vehicle.
- A Texas Tech Officer investigated a traffic accident, without injuries, and duty on striking an unattended vehicle, which occurred in the C4 parking lot.
- A Texas Tech Officer investigated criminal mischief, which occurred at Weymouth Residence Hall. An “exit” sign was damaged.
- A Texas Tech Officer investigated criminal mischief on the outside of Coleman Residence Hall. An electrical box was damaged.
- A Texas Tech Officer arrested a student for one outstanding Lubbock County Sheriff Department warrant, following a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Flint Avenue. The student was transported to the Lubbock County Jail. The vehicle was impounded by Lubbock Wrecker Service.
