Ceiling Tiles & Marker Art: Campus Crime Report

Crime reports released by the Texas Tech Police Department for April 5 – 7, 2013.

April 5

  • A Texas Tech Officer documented damaged property to a vehicle parked in the Flint Avenue parking garage. The vehicle’s right front quarter panel was damaged at an unknown location.
  • A Texas Tech Officer investigated criminal mischief, which occurred in the Zone 3-F parking lot. The rear windshield of a vehicle was shattered.
  • A Texas Tech Officer documented a medical, which occurred in Sneed Hall. A student fell out of his bed and hurt his arm. The student was transported to the University Medical Center Emergency Room by EMS.
  • A Texas Tech Officer investigated criminal mischief, which occurred on the 5th floor of Talkington Hall. A wall near room #530 was damaged. A hand sanitizer and room number signs were also pulled off a wall.
  • A Texas Tech Officer arrested a student for public intoxication, which occurred on the 8th floor of Weymouth Hall. The student was transported to the Lubbock County Jail.

April 6

  • A Texas Tech Officer arrested a non-student for driving while license invalid, following a traffic stop in the 700 block of University Avenue. The non-student was transported to the Lubbock County Jail and the vehicle was impounded by Lubbock Wrecker.
  • A Texas Tech Officer investigated criminal mischief in Murdough Residence Hall.  Six ceiling tiles were damaged.

April 7

  • A Texas Tech Officer investigated graffiti at Coleman Residence Hall.  A face was drawn on the elevator door with an indelible marker.
