Tech "Can" Zumba

Last Thursday the Robert H. Ewalt Student Recreation Center hosted their annual Tech Can Zumba to support the South Plains Food Bank.

Kami White-Waden, assistant director of the fitness and wellness office at the Rec Center, said there were 117 attendants. Participants were asked to bring two canned goods to donate for the food bank. In return, they received a “Tech Can Zumba” t-shirt. White Waden said the organization typically collects around 300 cans, which are distributed to local families in the Lubbock community.
