Artist Spotlight: Chase Babcock

Some of the media I used to compose this image are a broken mirror, glow sticks, and fishing line. These shots are taken with one-second exposure in almost complete darkness, except for light from glowsticks. The different colored fluorescent lights reflecting from the mirror have created a unique, abstract composition that I found particularly interesting. While editing, I inverted the image and looked at choosing many color palettes, finally settling on this one. What I find most interesting about the image is the distinct human figure on the left, noticeably staring at a random assortment of materials on the right. Coincidently, this is exactly what happened right before this shot was captured. The second image (the black one) is the unedited version.
