Sandusky Says 'Goodbye' To Pension

So it looks like Sandusky won’t be able to wear the finest orange jumpsuit money can buy him in his 30+ years of incarceration.

According to ESPN.com The State Employees’ Retirement System notified Jerry Sandusky he will have to forfeit his annual pension of $59,000 as a result of his conviction.

Dottie Sandusky is no longer entitled to a survivors benefit, either. Bummer, dude.

Sandusky’s lawyer Karl Rominger tried to argue that since Sandusky was accused of molesting boys rather than students that Pennsylvania’s pension forfeiture law does not apply. The law states that, primarily, it applies to public employees convicted of a financial crime related to the office and, in 2004, broadened to encompass teachers.

Rominger’s argument fell by the wayside, and the law stood.
