When thinking of Texas Tech football, the offense usually comes to mind. But this year, that is all starting to change. The Red Raider defense after its first four games is number one in the entire nation in total defense allowing only a measly 168 yards per game. Against Big 12 Conference opponent Iowa State, the Tech defense allowed only one offensive touchdown the entire 60 minutes of play. Born out of teamwork, the moniker of the “chain gang” has given the defense an identity.
